Topaz Values?

Topaz Values Question:

Upon returning to Canada and getting it appraised I found out that it (apparently) is pink/precious topaz.

The appraisal was a bit lower ($500 Canadian less) than what I bought it for, but still in the same ballpark.

Diamonds:

There is nothing like a Diamond. It is the Hardest material (almost 140 times harder than its nearest gemstone) and is named after the Greek word ‘Adamas’ which means ‘Unconquerable’.

This is also why it is used in Engagement rings as it symbolises ‘Everlasting’.

Unlike other gemstones, its primary perfection is based on LACK of colour. The pure colourless or White is the most Valuable, although many shades of Yellow are common.
